The COVID-19 pandemic is having 2nd and 3rd order effects on teachers. The Foundation will give teachers 10,000 Naira each to mitigate hardships imposed by mandatory lockdowns. We will also provide special packages for teachers who are able to innovate and teach online.

The Okonofua Foundation, as part of its efforts to support child-centered education, has an articulate program to motivate teachers to do more for their students. This September, the Foundation will recognize about 60 outstanding teachers in Edo State, including a teacher who has inspired the most.

The Okonofua Foundation, as part of its efforts to support child-centered education, has an articulate program to motivate teachers to do more for their students. This December, the Foundation will reward 100 outstanding teachers in Edo State based solely on the recommendations of students.
